Ana is an interior architect and is experienced in (and loves!) the community engagement aspect of the design process.
Ana's hometown is Christchurch where she had an active upbringing doing lots of sports and music. Ana sports a mean scalp scar from her Mr Miyagi impersonations and can belt a tune out on the clarinet. Ana loves learning new things and enjoys walking, hiking and being outside with nature. Friends, the beach and fun events feature in Ana's weekends.
Ana was living overseas when whānau drew Ana back to New Zealand. With both of her parents being buried in Ngawha, Ana’s heart is most definitely in the far North. Christine and Ngawati, Ana’s parents, are a driving force behind ĀKAU projects. They bring us an extra sense of purpose to get things done well, with integrity and love.
Ana is passionate about Kaikohe and it's potential. Moving to Kaikohe has made Ana learn more about her Māori culture. Being courageous is important to Ana and this shines through in her work at ĀKAU.
