A new year is always a good time to reflect on the year gone by and here at ĀKAU we're doing just that. What was great about our first year in Kaikohe? What was great about the workshop programme? What wasn't so great and could be improved upon? What is going to be awesome about 2016?!

+Working with youth on projects is great! The youth love it, the clients love it and ĀKAU loves it. That's a win.
+Practical hands on experiments about real projects is a great way to learn
+Class Hikoi's are lots of fun and we learn heaps too!
+2016 will bring about better internal systems so that we can be calm AND efficient!
+We had lots of awesome people support our kaupapa here at ĀKAU and we are really grateful. THANK YOU!
We are looking forward to the first intake of students and are on the recruit if you know of any 16-24 year olds who are keen to do a fun & creative course that works on real projects here in Northland, then send them to the ĀKAU Studio to talk to us about how ĀKAU could work for them.
