ARCO had their inaugural workshop this weekend in the beautiful setting of Waikuku. Between exploring Christchurch rebuild projects, taste testing coffee at various cafe’s and skiving off to Hanmer Springs for a night we managed to get a whole lot of things sorted.
Named ARCO, harking back to our London roots with ARC, but with an added layer of meaning now. The C now encompasses Christine, Ana’s mum, who has been a pillar of strength behind this project. The CO also alludes to company, co-operation, collaboration, collections, conscious… (you get the drift) but most of all, the co represents community – the whole impetus behind ARCO.
This blog was born out of this productive weekend – we are planning on documenting the process of ARCO through its various stages in this blog format for several reasons. We hope it will be an informative reference for people interested in ARCO as well keeping our process transparent. We see this as a community project and want to keep it open, honest and with integrity. It will be place for us to document everything, post inspiring bits and pieces, showcase what ARCO is up to and keep you fully informed.
Thank you for your interest so far! We look forward to hearing from you if you would like to discuss the project further.
