You might have seen our Akina Launchpad application film (if not, check it out here) which was one of over 130 applications. You might have also heard a rumour that we got through to the next round where our team, (Ana, Felicity and Ruby) along with 70 other INCREDIBLE social enterprises, did a series of sprint workshops and then presented a 2 minute pitch to a panel of Akina, Contact Energy and DIA representatives.
It was a great opportunity to see a range of projects that are also working in the social arena and clarify some of the nitty gritty business things for ARCO.

We are pretty excited to have received an email today to let us know we are down to the final twenty!! There will be 10 teams that will receive six months of intensive support and coaching from Akina. With final interviews next week, please keep your fingers (and toes) crossed for ARCO! Thanks for your support and advice so far, we'll let you know how it goes!

ARCO Create! had it's inaugural workshop last night and what a productive session it was! Ana lead the way with a 101 in design and we then did a series of exploratory exercises that got the creative juices flowing. 

We're pretty excited about upcoming design projects for ARCO Create! We have meetings next week with the local council to see how we could design real life projects in Kaikohe  - watch this space!!
